The cellars at Antica Bottega Del Vino contain a wealth of wine treasures.

Antica Bottega Del Vino has made its mark as one of Italy’s venerable wine institutions, providing a glimpse into Verona's history through its stunning 19th-century interior, menu of local favorites and expansive wine list. Nestled in the heart of the old town, the restaurant has earned a Grand Award since 2004 for its cavernous cellars holding 100,000 bottles, brimming with picks from Tuscany, Piedmont, the Veneto and France. Wine director Alberto Bongiovanni oversees the 3,200 selections, which span more than 180 pages and include rarities from local maestros, such as the Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva 1990 at 3,000 euros [$3,371] alongside many options in the 30- to 50-euro range. The menu from chef Lucca Dalla Via is classic northeastern Italian, with regional pastas, risottos and meats taking center stage.
